Many Men Tend to Keep Relationships at Arm’s Length
It will come as no surprise to you that men and women treat their relationships differently. Research by Oxford University shows that whilst women want to put time and energy into their relationships, both with friends and partners, men tend to see them as less important.
Dr Anna Machin and Professor Robin Dunbar from the University of Oxford carried out online psychological research and found that men still tend to keep relationships at arms length and have less need to be in them than women. The research also showed that men tended to respond as if they were still available for a relationship even when they had already formed a partnership.
