Does Your Sexual Orientation Shape Your Career Plans?

Depending on what country you live in determines the levels of discrimination that lesbians, gay men and bisexuals experience in every aspect of life; including their careers.  In America last week  President Obama  announced new plans to bar federal contractors from hiring or firing employees based on their sexual orientation or gender identity.

This is a great step against discrimination but research indicates that  members of the lesbian and gay community still believe that at some point their sexual identity will encumber the progression of their career.  This article reports and summarizes the latest  research into this issue.
