Therapy for the Elderly: Finally Getting a Load Off Their Minds

The older generation can benefit from therapy just as much as everyone else.  This post on the New York Times website discusses how exploring past events and having someone to talk to on a regular basis can dramatically change the feelings of elderly people.

Older people in their 70’s and 80’s have traditionally used other sources to explore their problems, like talking to friends, family or church.  With depression, loss of loved ones and difficulty with finances all real issues for the older generation, therapy can be invaluable in making life easier.
