I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a Registered Member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I am experienced working with individual adults experiencing anxiety connected to emotional difficulties and relationship issues.  Working together we will explore whatever is happening for you now. You may wish to talk about issues from your childhood or focus in the here and now.  Finding a place of acceptance in your world will be our focus helping you to work towards what is important for you to live a meaningful and fulfilling life.

My Philosophy

If you are reading this you must have reached a place in your life where you are looking for a change in your world. Maybe you are feeling stuck or lost and having a space to talk would make a difference for you to gain a better understanding of your situation. The quality of our relationship is essential for change and I offer a space for you to talk in a non-judgemental, compassionate and confidential environment. You will be able to explore your own unique world safely and at your own pace to move towards a life focused on what is important for you.

My work aligns with my personal values. I observe my own life mindfully and with curiosity to live a fulfilling life. If you would like to do the work too, then we can do it together. We will explore your world with curiosity, kindness and acceptance to help you move towards the rich and fulfilling life that you are looking for.

My Motivation

Having worked at a managerial level in various commercial businesses I moved to working within the NHS 10 years ago with a mental health charity. I recognised my working relationships have always been focused on the emotional wellbeing of others so working in the counselling profession was a natural progression for me. I have a specific interest in anxiety issues and childhood experience and how it shapes the core of who we become and how we live our lives. Developing your awareness and self-acceptance will be the core of our work enabling you to work towards living a meaningful, fulfilling life.

The Sessions

Sessions cost £50 for a 50 minute session.

Due to the current coronavirus situation I am only offering either telephone therapy or online therapy sessions via Zoom. I will return to face to face appointments as soon as world events allow…

For online therapy you will need to download the Zoom software during our first session. This will automatically happen when you click on the Zoom link I send to you. I always allow extra time to set up Zoom in our first session.

After having an initial call, to introduce myself, our first session will be a space to discuss our working relationship. You will have the time to tell me about yourself and what is going on for you at the moment. This will help us to decide if working together would be a helpful space to bring about the change you are looking for.

And remember…our relationship is bound by confidentiality so, when we speak, always ensure you are in a private space to talk confidentially.

Other Information

I hold an enhanced DBS certificate.
