Imago Relationship Therapy Supervision

Imago Relationship Therapy Supervision gives practicing Imago Relationship Therapists an opportunity to hone their skills and reflect on the work they are doing with couples.

The sessions are available for any therapist who is training or trained in Imago Relationship Therapy.  Whether you are a Certified Imago Relationship Therapist or you've only just done the first of the four day modules, this supervisory process is available to you.

Undoubtably, the best way to improve as an Imago Relationship Therapist is to step back and watch yourself work.

The consultation process gives you an opportunity to do this and get feedback from other Imago Therapists on your strengths, other technical possibilities, and growth edges.

The process is supportive and safe with the sole purpose of helping you to be the best Imago Relationship Therapist you can be.

How are the Imago Relationship Therapy Supervision sessions structured?

Each supervision session will take place on a Tuesday from 10am until 1pm.  Please see the signup form below for dates.

The first two sessions in November and December will be focusing on mastering the dialogue process and a space for the  "group as expert" process where you can bring any questions that are coming up for you about your Imago practice.  Group size will be limited to six.

From February the Supervision process focuses on watching the work you have videoed and engaging in the Imago feedback process.  Group size will be limited to five.

From April, the supervision sessions will be limited to three in order to fulfil the criteria for certification of six full one hour sessions of supervision.  (Each session will count as a single hour for you personally).

These sessions will support you in producing a passing video so you can gain full certification as an Imago Relationship Therapist after six supervision sessions.

Why come to a group?

The learning process in a group is very different to working as an individual.  Although only one hour counts to your certification, you will get to see your peers work and hear and contribute to their feedback, learning an enormous amount in the process.

You also get to grow and thrive as an Imago Therapist with likeminded people who have a passion for Imago Relationship Therapy.

What are the requirements for supervision as a Trainee Imago Relationship Therapist?

You are required to have six one hour sessions with an Imago Consultant (supervisor).  You can find who is qualified to supervise (consult) by looking at the Imago UK Website.  The supervision sessions only count to this total when you have completed the full twelve days of the training.

I want you to put this out of you mind though as it misses the point of supervision.

By engaging in the supervision process you become a better Imago Therapist.  It is the key mechanism for growth in your therapy practice and makes you more potent when working with couples.

Certification is the start of the journey to being a really good Imago Therapist.  By continuing in supervision and taking part in Advanced Trainings you will become highly skilled at what you do and sought out as an expert in couples therapy.

The times or dates for the groups do not fit me, can I have individual supervision?

Absolutely.  You can book supervision with me by clicking here and choosing the Imago Supervision option.
