As we grow up we observe those around us, our parents, family and friends all have an influence on us. We also have society’s expectations of how we should be to contend with. It is not surprising then that we may have difficulty in knowing who we really are.
She states that as we go through life we learn more about ourselves. When we get to know someone and we feel we can trust them our defences come down and we can start to be much more of ourselves.
